Hi Guys,

For this week's post I've decided to do a review of Charlotte Tilbury 'From Cheek to Chic' blusher, which is one of my most recent purchases and my first from this brand. Well, I say purchases, but I got it bought for me as as a birthday gift, even though my birthday isn't until August! (Lucky me!) Just picture me with puppy dog eyes!

Ever since Charlotte Tilbury concession hit Selfridges in Birmingham, I was drawn to the brand. I like Charlotte's unique approach of creating complete makeup looks and laying out all the products used for you to buy. It's especially great for people who may not know how to pull a look together themselves. Plus, her packaging is flawless and so pretty! The gold really adds a touch of luxe and makes the products so easily identifiable as Charlotte Tilbury.

The blusher is also described as 'Swish and Pop' with the idea being you swish your blusher brush around the outside and apply to the cheek bone, and then pop it into the middle section and apply to the apples of your cheeks.

It is a bit pricey at £30, however the quality is clear and my experience is that you generally do get what you pay for when it comes to makeup. It is very pigmented so I can imagine it will last you a very long time before you have to repurchase and blends nicely onto the skin. The blusher lasted me most of the day before I decided to reapply in the evening.



Overall, a great product, and as my first product from the brand, really has me sold. Eek, is this the start of another love affair? Anyway I would definitely recommend!

Everybody loves a freebie, and this event did not disappoint - it was goody bags galore! I received bags from Chanel, Urban Decay and as an added bonus, because I spent over £75 at the event (shhhh, don't tell hubby) Selfridges gave me a final goody bag. Hot picks have to be the Sterling Silver Chanel bracelet (yes, you heard right). Also, the YSL Forever Youth Liberate Serum from the Selfridges and from Urban Decay's was the much loved Eyeshadow Primer Potions. I have used the original religiously however have never tried the others so this gives me a great opportunity to try before I buy!

Hi everyone!

I recently attended a friend's pre-wedding party, which came just at the right time as it gave me an excuse to wear a new outfit and doll myself up. Who needs an excuse, right?! My blog post covers where I got my fab new outfit from, as well as the beauty look I put together.

I am a British Pakistani and usually, when invited to Asian wedding events, I tend to wear traditional clothing. Pakistani fashion is always changing so it is really hard to keep up with the trends. Luckily, living in Birmingham we have so many fantastic shops to choose from.






Since I have been little, my mum has always shopped at a store called Aziz Textiles. They sell loose fabric in all types of styles and this store has always been our first stop when looking for material for a new outfit. When they contacted me to collaborate, I was naturally over the moon, as I was already a customer. The quality of the fabric never fails to disappoint and there is such a variety to choose from. They don't just have material for Asian suits, but material for anything and everything. My mum is quite the seamstress and has made me dresses and skirts using their fabric! Their prices are also very reasonable, especially when compared to ready-made suits, with the cost of the material sent to me (pictured) only being £25. The outfit was perfect for the pre-wedding party with just the right amount of embellishments and not too OTT.



As for the makeup, for the eyes, I decided to go 'matchy, matchy' with the outfit. That's the great thing about Asian fashion, the bold colour allow you to go bright with the makeup. I applied Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Eternal Gold (£4.99) all over the lid and then blended through the crease with Barry M Dazzle Dust in Mint (£4.59). Then I applied Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra eyeshadow in Tisse Riviera (Cream colour) up to the brow and in the inner corner of the eye. Finally, in the middle of the eye lid I put a dab of Mac Pigment in Old Gold (£16) to give the look a pop. I then applied gel liner and false eyelashes.

Hi guys!

Earlier this week I received some strip lashes from Nouveau Lashes and this inspired me to do a Spring makeup look! Luckily, I picked a day when it wasn't snowing, otherwiseI'm not sure how the pictures of me outside would have turned out - probably more like Olaf than Elsa! We've had rain, sun, hail, sleet and snow all within a week, all within April. I mean April for God's sake!

So, if you are feeling cold I hope this make up look warms you up. I was so excited when creating this look and I got a little bit creative (in the image department) with some help from my sister!

It is quite an easy look to create. As a base I used a very light coverage foundation, MAC Face & Body (C5, £22, 50ml), as I wanted to leave quite a natural looking, dewy finish. On the eyes I used Kiko Water Eyeshadow in Lavender (£4.40), which I applied all over the lid. This eyeshadow is great as it can be used wet or dry. I used it wet to give an extra vibrance to the colour. For a transition colour you can use any matte eyeshadow with an orange base to it. I chose orange because it really set off the Lavender and just made it pop. For the eyelashes I chose a lovely pair of Nouveau Lashes in Natural style 3 (£6.99).
