Hi,

I thought I would do a quick run down of which Dermalogica Microfoliant is best for you! Dermalogica have a range of exfoliants that are gentle enough for daily use and made specifically to target different skin types. If you suffer from uneven, lack lustre skin, then I would highly recommend trying a daily exfoliator from the range of products Dermalogica has to offer. These products will change the feel and look of your skin drastically within weeks of using them if you have not used daily exfoliators before. Exfoliation is essential in the upkeep of stronger, brighter and smoother skin as it removes dead skin cells and keeps the skin looking fresh. This post will clarify which Exfoliant you should be using depending on your skin type.

First we have the newest of the bunch the Daily Milkfoliant. This is a beautiful exfoliator which contains coconut milk and oat is perfect for sensitive skin as it the oats work to hydrate and give a calming effect. This product is suitable for those who have sensitive skin and/or dry skin. The exfoliator is gentle enough to not irritate skin further but also gives a hydrating effect. It gently removed dead skin cells and will give you smoother, softer and brighter skin. It is very pleasant to use and leaves your skin feeling very silky. Personally I find this to be the most gentle out of the three.

If you consider yourself to have normal skin with no major concerns than the Daily Microfoliant is the best option. Still very gentle on the skin but a little stronger in its effect. It feels slightly more grainy and contains salicylic acid with rice enzymes which work together to brighten the skin. This product is the original of the three and is suitable for most skin types so if in doubt opt for the daily microfoliant. This is a great option as Dermalogica also sell refill pouches of this product so you don't have to buy a brand new plastic bottle each time. I would say it is perfect for someone in their late 20's to mid 30's and it can target early signs of ageing however if you have mature skin then keep on reading.

(Grey - Superfoliant, White - Microfoliant, Beige - Milkfoliant)

The final of the three daily exfoliators is the Daily Superfoliant. This is the one I use most of the time. As my skin is ageing and I don't have any sensitivity I opt for this one which is the strongest of the three. This product is resurfacing and is anti pollution. It is the most active of the three and contains Binchotan Charcoal and Red Algae which work to absorb toxins and environmental stressors deep from within the skin. The texture of the product is the grainiest of the three. However depending how much water you use to mix it can be made softer. I personally would start by using one of the other two and once you know it is suited to your skin then move onto the Superfoliant last.

I hope you have found this post helpful! If you would like some more recommendations from Dermalogica please see my favourites post here.
