Top 3 Red Lipsticks!

They say that there is a red lipstick to suit everyone and I honestly believe this is true! It may take you a while to find the right one, but it is out there somewhere, I promise! Someone wearing red lips oozes glamour and confidence, and there's something about them I just love!

I've done this post to show you some of my favourite reds. And the range of colour within these will suit most skin tones. So, in no particular order, my favourite reds are: Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick in Passion (£26.00), MAC Lipstick in Ladydanger (£15.50) and YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in Red Muse (£25.00).

Passion is a cool-toned lipstick, there is a blue undertone to it so matches well with cool-toned make up. However Lady Danger, is orangey red so much more warm-toned. Red Muse, on the other hand, is a bit of a chameleon. Although it is more on the cool-toned spectrum, in different lighting it can appear warm-toned!

Each one of these lipsticks gives a totally different colour and effect when applied, so owning all three has me set for any occasion. With Passion it is a perfect mix of a deep red with a semi matte finish. Red Muse gives such a glossy finish and is very moisturising on the lip, however due to the silky texture, it can bleed around the lip line, even with liner, so regular bathroom touch-ups are needed (it's worth it though). Lady Danger is quite matte in texture, so can leave your lips feeling quite dry, but the colour is so versatile and I often wear it in the day as well as on an evening out. Because it is so matte, there is literally no movement, so it's perfect for going out for a meal with your friends - even for a big, juicy burger!

I find red lips such an easy statement look to do. You may be wearing the most casual of clothes and have your hair in a messy bun, but as soon as you put those red lips on, you're set and ready to go. It's instant style.

What are your favourite reds? Do you own any of my top three? I would love to hear your comments!
