Glowy Makeup Look!

Hi guys,

One of my highest requested make-up looks is a glowy, natural, nude look. I recently did a poll on my instagram stories and this came up as favourite compared to other looks such as a smokey eye or bold lip. So I decided to create one using some fantastic products I received recently.

The first thing I will say is that when it comes to creating this type of look your skincare before the make-up application has to be on point. The skin needs to be really hydrated and prepped. So to start with I exfoliated using *Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, which exfoliates the skin and leaves you with a smooth surface. I then applied *Pixi Glow Tonic Toner and Glow Serum for that extra boost of Glycolic acid, which will reveal new skin cells. I finally applied my *Dermalogica Prisma Protect moisturiser with SPF 30.

Once this was done I felt my skin was ready to go and felt very plump giving me the perfect base to start my glow up, I didn't feel the need for a primer. I applied the *Stila Cosmetics Lingerie Soufflé Foundation in Shade 3. This is a fantastic foundation for this who are looking for something super natural looking but with just the right amount of coverage. It left my skin looking like velvet and so soft. I would recommend using a duo fibre brush to apply as when I attempted it with my fingers the product did start to crumble a little. On top of this I then used the *Lingerie Soufflé's Primer in the shade Sunkissed. I know this is a primer, so the name suggests applying before the foundation however I used it more as a bronzer/ contour to add the sun kissed look to my forehead and nose.

Once my base was complete I used the *Stila Convertible Lip and Cheek Cream in Camellia with a angled colour brush and applied to the cheeks and up to the cheekbone. I find when creating glowy looks the best products to use tend to be cream based as they give more of a natural effect. The great thing about the lip and cheek stain is just that! They can be used on the lips too. I love two in one products as they make things so much quicker and I am all about ease and saving time. The cream blends so well it is effortless. I decided to apply the new beauty boss lipgloss in shade 'Win, win'. It is such a beautiful nude pink shade and just tied everything together. I am in love with the formula of these lip glosses as they are so nourishing and almost balm like. They don' leave any stickiness at all and I can't stop wearing them! I love them so much so I just had to share the love so am giving away two lipglosses in shades Empowering, a stunning coral with flecks of gold, perfect for summer and Gold Parachute, a gorgeous nude/gold colour that will add a bit of sparkle to any look. To complete the look I filled my brows in using Benefit Goof Proof in Shade 3. Usually I use shade 5 but I wanted less focus on my eyebrows and to give a soft finish which is exactly the effect I got. I also applied Pat McGrath Labs Mascara and finally the highlighting stick to the highs of my cheekbones for that extra highlight. You can read about these products more here in my recent beauty faves post. That completes the look. I was really happy with the finished effect and hope you like it too.
